Exceptional Ventures is a London-based early-stage venture capital firm investing in companies that help people live longer, healthier, and happier lives. The Role

This internship is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on venture capital experience in one of Europe’s most active healthtech funds. You’ll support our investment team in sourcing, analysing, and evaluating startups, and help with communications and marketing projects that bring our mission to life. This is a paid, in-person internship based in our Notting Hill office.

Key Responsibilities

• Dealflow Support – Source, screen, and research startups aligned with our investment thesis.
• Market Research – Prepare sector overviews and competitive landscapes across the HealthTech market.
• Due Diligence – Support financial and operational analysis, prepare slides, and assist in drafting investment memos.
• Portfolio Support – Help track portfolio performance and collect data for reporting and updates.
• Content & Communication – Assist with social media posts, newsletters, event summaries, and visual materials showcasing EV’s mission and portfolio.
• Events & Community – Help coordinate investor and founder events, manage mailing lists, and update CRM records.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an MBA or Master’s in business/ healthcare/ Life Sciences.
• Genuine interest in startups, venture capital, and the future of health and wellness.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, and comfortable working with complex data.
• Highly organised, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Google Workspace, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient with automation, AI, and data tools.
• Familiarity with Attio, Notion, or Canva is an advantage.

Compensation & Terms

• Paid internship.
• Full-time.
• Based in our Notting Hill office.
• 6-month duration.
• Right to work in the UK required for the full 6 months – we are unable to sponsor visas.
• Availability from mid-September to mid-March
